Beer Mail #55: First Time In Cans(Sold-out)

The “themes” we create with each new BEER MAIL are pretty loose, but we wanted to focus our latest one on brews that were previously only available on draught or in 650ml bombers. So some of these may be a bit familiar, but others are likely not. We’re especially excited to include a couple of fruity sours from Victoria’s newest brewery, Ile Sauvage, in this eclectic mix of styles. You’ll also find everything from a coffee lager to a dry-hopped lager to a nitro-powered dry Irish stout, with a nice selection of IPAs thrown in for good measure.  For just $59.27 plus shipping, we’ll send these 12 x 473ml beers anywhere in BC! If you live in Victoria, we’ll deliver it for free!

We offer a flat shipping charge of just $20 for Expedited Canada Post delivery anywhere in BC! FREE delivery to Victoria area addresses.

Craft Beer Tasting Notes: March 18

Looks like Spring might actually be on its way! With the sunnier, (slightly) warmer temps, we’ve seen an increase in the lower-alcohol brews. More sours, more session ales. Two sours you should definitely check out are from Victoria’s own Ile Sauvage, their first outside-the-brewery tall can releases: Yuzu Gose and Raspberry Sour Golden Ale.

Craft Beer Tasting Notes: March 13

We missed a week of tasting notes, so we’re back with a vengeance! Lots of new brews arrived in the last two weeks, with an emphasis on big, malty brews (three coffee imperial stouts!), IPAs and sours. There were some really interesting, style-busting beers in this batch.

Beer Mail #54: An Eclectic Mix-Pack

We got really picky with our latest BEER MAIL. We wanted to choose some interesting stuff from breweries that we may not have featured as much in previous offerings. Some of these breweries don’t do a lot of tall cans, or these are one-off releases that we will never see again (like the delicious Left Hand Chokecherry Saison). We have several U.S. brews in there, as well, this time. Style-wise you’ll truly get an eclectic offering ranging from fruity sours to hoppy pale ales and IPAs (and DIPAs, too!) to oatmeal stouts to the indescribable (a “rye & ginger” beer!) And the price for this quirky mixed 12-pack of tall cans is super reasonable! For just $57.05 plus shipping, we’ll send these 12 473ml beers anywhere in BC! If you live in Victoria, we’ll deliver it for free!

We offer a flat shipping charge of just $20 for Expedited Canada Post delivery anywhere in BC! FREE delivery to Victoria area addresses.

Craft Beer Tasting Notes: Feb. 25

It was a surprisingly quiet week as far as new craft beer releases. Just a handful of new arrivals, but some good ones. Definitely check out the “new look” for Nelson Brewing on its brand new release, Passmore Pale Ale. This is a very modern take on the pale ale style—think juicy and tropical—and it’s available in 4pk tall cans featuring some really cool artwork.

You’d never know that winter was still in full force with all these fruity IPAs and other fruity brews arriving. Despite the weather outside, the beer outlook is very sunny and tropical! We got some great new IPAs and pale ales as well as some brews (i.e. stouts!) more appropriate for the cold, snowy weather.
