The Zone @ 91-3 is excited to team with Cook St. Liquor to tell you about the newest in craft beer, affordable and specialty wines, local ciders, artisan spirits and other unique beverage selections in Victoria.
Once a month, The Zone’s Jenny West will head down to Cook St. Liquor and sample the newest arrivals to hit the shelves.
A nice bunch of BC craft beer releases landed this week (which is par for the course these days), but we also received some cool European imports, as well. If you’re fan of barrel-aged sours, try the Lindemans Oude Gueuze pictured below. We also received some new ones (though not pictured) from Almanac in California, who are masters of farmhouse ales and barrel aged sours.
Hey, Loyalty Program members, have we got a deal for you! Until this Sunday, July 7, you can redeem your points for discounted Rock the Shores tickets, which takes place in Colwood from July 13-15. Here are the details of the discount and how to get your tickets (see the images below for details about the lineups).
Every week we think that there’s no way we can top the previous week as far as new craft beer arrivals go, but then we are proven wrong week in and week out. This was a banner week all around whether you like IPAs (Boombox, Howe Sound, Yellow Dog/Ravens, Parkside, Steel + Oak, Cannery), sours (Burdock, Steamworks, Wild Beer Co.
Our big news from last week was that we now have a ton of cool Rewards that our Loyalty Program members can redeem their points on—everything from concert tickets for local shows and festivals to fun summertime swag and lots of brewery merch (using as little as 10 points!). For all the details, go here.
In anticipation of the Canada Day weekend, we’re celebrating Canadian beers (specifically BC brews) for our latest BEER MAIL offering. We put together a collection of unique seasonal releases from both Vancouver Island and the mainland—stuff that may not be easy for everyone in the province to get. Style-wise we have some strong beers, lighter beers, an IPA, a sour and a couple of interesting more “experiemental” brews. It truly shows off the diversity of BC beers. We’ll send you this mixed case of 12 large-format bottles* (two of each beer) for just $107.5 + shipping.
We offer a flat shipping charge of just $25 for Canada Post delivery anywhere in BC! FREE delivery to Victoria area addresses.
Remember, this box will only be available for two weeks, or until it’s sold out.
*All are 650ml bottles (except where noted) and you’ll get two bottles of each beer. Sorry, no substitutions.
Please note: Beer Mail orders can only be accepted from BC addresses. Orders must be placed during our hours of operation (10 am to 9 pm, 7 days a week), per liquor control and licensing terms and conditions.

We kicked off our Loyalty Program prior to our move last spring with the enticement of one entry in our Grand Prize Drawing for every $20 members spent. We delayed the drawing of the prize in order to sign up as many customers as we could to give them a shot at what was a nearly $3000 prize.
Our Loyalty Program members who signed up early have been collecting points for months and we can now reveal the killer rewards we’re offering! This is just the first taste of what will be an ever-changing lineup of Rewards ranging from VIP concert tickets for local music festivals to fun seasonal swag.
It was another onslaught of new arrivals last week, and not just cans! There was a little bit of everything—and definitely plenty of interesting cans.
We’re ramping up our selection and inventory for summer! So many new craft beer and cider arrivals. We have a whole section of our fridge dedicated to craft cider from BC and abroad. Check out three of our latest listed below. We also want to point out that we have a full array of beautiful (and tasty) Collective Arts cans from Ontario.
