Because not every city and town in BC has a craft beer-focused liquor store like Cook St. Liquor, we want to bring the best craft beer—both domestic and imports—to every place in BC that doesn’t have access to all the amazing craft beer out there.

What to Sip With Easter Supper
The arrival of Easter means that spring has arrived. It’s the light at the end of the long dark tunnel of winter. We love it when the weather improves, there are more people filling the streets of Cook St. Village and the days continue to grow longer.
Easter weekend brings family and friends together to celebrate the season and eat and drink well.

Sours: The Champagne of Beers
This is typically both a time of reflection on the previous year, as well as an opportunity to look forward to great things ahead.
Sure, it’s the most wonderful time of the year, but it’s also the most insane, chaotic and, yes, stressful. But we can help you alleviate at least some of that nuttiness with our amazing selection of craft beer, our carefully selected wines (most of which are in that $15 to $35 sweet spot) and our great array of artisanal spirits.
After doing three sold-out Extreme Beer Tastings in the first six months of 2015, we are finally back with our fourth—just in time for Halloween. We are as excited as ever to be teaming up with a new partner, Discovery Coffee in Oak Bay, for this one on Thursday, October 22, at 7pm.
Festival Season Means Great Giveaways!
Summer may be coming to a close, but the first few weekends of September are when some of the best festivals happen in Victoria. We’re talking about the Great Canadian Beer Festival, Sept. 11-12 and Rifflandia music festival, Sept. 17-20.
For the last few years, the first Thursday in August has been recognized around the world as International IPA Day. It’s a day to celebrate the hop-heavy India Pale Ale style that has played a major role in the meteroic rise of craft beer. Where a mere decade ago a BC-made IPA was a rarity, there are very few local breweries that don’t make one.
Is there anything better than summer in Victoria? The weather’s great, there’s so much going on and the evening light seems to go on and on. It’s the best time to be outside on Vancouver Island, whether you’re on a patio, camping or out for a picnic. While our staff picks for July take all this into consideration, they are also a bit on the eclectic side—just like the staff who chose them.
