Our approach to our wine selection is simple, we hand-pick everything we possibly can. There is a sea of products out there, and we navigate through it looking for tasty value wines from smaller producers.
Great bang-for-the-buck offerings—at every price point—from BC and around the world.
Our latest Wine Mail offering—just in time for New Year’s celebrations—has some higher priced wines that are a little more unique than the previous two Value Wines offerings we started the program with. (We’d also be happy to put together a custom Wine Mail from our Vault selection, if you’re interested.
As you may know, the building we moved into last March was previously the RBC bank that had been a part of Cook St. Village for decades. Since every bank has a vault, and they’re kind of hard to remove, when we moved in, the vault came with the building.
So, what else to do with it, but put our finest wines in there for “safekeeping.
Our first Wine Mail offering was so well received, we were caught off guard and sold out of a couple of the wines faster than expected. We’re back with our second offering and this time we’ve made sure our inventory is good and we’re ready to go!
Our approach to the wines we carry is similar to our craft beer and spirits program: we handpick everything that is in the store.
(PLEASE NOTE: This Wine Mail is SOLD OUT and no longer available.)
It is hard to believe that ten years have passed since we evolved from a VQA wine store to a full service liquor outlet. In that time, the local craft beer industry has exploded, and we subsequently started offering Beer Mail so people could take advantage of our unique selection without driving to Fairfield.
Wine has always been a passion for us, so we are happy to be helping support Crush: A Fine Wine Affair, a benefit for the Belfry Theatre that will be held at the Delta Ocean Pointe Resort, Sunday, October 21, 5-8pm. Dozens of BC’s finest wines will be poured, there will be a live auction as well as a silent auction and plenty of tasty bites provided by chef Craig Stoneman.
Long before we opened Cook St. Liquor in the Cook Street Village we we had a VQA Wine Store that specialized in BC wine. Wine has always been a passion for us, so we are happy to be helping support Crush: A Fine Wine Affair, a benefit for the Belfry Theatre that will be held at the Inn at Laurel Point Sunday, October 22, 5-8pm.
Sunny days and warm weather mean all kinds of activities: camping, backyard barbeques, patio parties, days spent lounging at the beach and so much more. We’ve reduced prices on a great selection beverages perfect for all of the above. These limited time offerings start August 1 and go throughout the month, as quantities last.
As Cook Street Village’s favourite mom and pop liquor store, we don’t have the budget for full-colour sale flyers or newspaper ads touting our latest sales. But that doesn’t mean that we don’t have a lot of price reductions at any given time. We currently have some great product in every single category—craft beer, wine and spirits—at reduced prices (see below).
We’re counting down 150 days until July 1, when Canada officially turns 150. Every day we will shine the spotlight on a different Canadian-made product—150 in all—over the next five months.
Purchase the daily #CookStLiquor150 product on the day we feature it and you can enter the drawing to win a $150 Cook St. Liquor Gift Card, which we will draw on July 2, 2017.
