Can’t really say there was a “theme” to the latest craft beer arrivals, though they arrived from all over the world: Belgium, BC, San Diego and even New York City. I guess that’s sort of a theme. Style-wise, they are a little bit of everything: IPA, fruity gose, coffee blonde, spiced porter and Trappist-style quadrupel. And all are 100% delicious!

Fernie Old Stumpy Pine IPA 6.7% 650ml (Fernie, BC)
Pours an orange-yellow colour. Old school IPA aromas of foresty pine, spice and grapefruit notes on the nose. Sweet pine and grapefruit peel notes on the palate with sweetness up front and a sharp bitter finish.
Modern Times Fruitlands Guava Passion Fruit Gose 4.8% 473ml (San Diego, CA)
Pours a cloudy orange-yellow colour. Floral notes of exotic guava and passion fruit on the nose. Juicy tart guava and passion fruit notes with a hint of salt and a touch of acidity.
Steel + Oak Kaffee Coffee Blonde 5% 650ml (New Westminster, BC)
Pours a deep sunshine yellow colour. Robust nutty coffee notes on the nose. Similar on the palate with delicious earthy coffee notes backed by a lightly sweet malty backbone. Great coffee flavour, very drinkable.
Two Roads/Evil Twin Pachamama Porter 6.5% 473ml can (NYC)
Pours a black coffee colour. Aromas of chocolate and dark dried fruit on the nose. Sweet and raisiny with chocolate notes and a hint of spicy heat on the rich finish. Decadent.
Halve Maan Straffe Hendrik Quadrupel 11% 750ml (Belgium)
Pours a dark chestnut brown colour. Vinuous, boozy dark fruit notes on the nose. Big carbonation. Robust, sweet dark fruit notes, hint of baking spice and nuts. Boozy and delicious.
Russell White Rabbit Lemon Raz Radler 3.8% 473ml (Vancouver)
Pours a clear yellow colour. Floral lemon and raspberry notes on the nose. A touch sweet on the nose with plenty of fresh raspberry flavour. Tastes just like raspberry lemonade. Yum.
