Timmermans Oude Kriek 5.5% 375ml (Belgium)
Pours a cranberry red colour. Aromas of red wine and funky oak on the nose. Very high acidity on the palate with big sour cherry notes. Tasty but tart!
Beau’s Golden Vox Rye Pale Lagered Ale 6% 650ml (Ontario)
Pours a deep yellow colour. Subtle notes of grainy malt and floral hops on the nose. Spicy rye notes on the palate with light fruit and a touch of sweetness. Bitter finish.
Beau’s Tom Green Milk Stout 5% 650ml (Ontario)
Pour’s a dark chestnut colour with red tints. Muted notes of milky coffee and dark chocolate on the nose. Light bodied with faint notes of grainy chocolate on the palate and a dry finish.
Beau’s Patersbier Table Beer 4.5% 650ml (Ontario)
Pours a bright pale lemon yellow colour. Citrusy and floral on the nose with a hint of spice and grainy malt. Light on the palate with pleasant notes of citrusy fruit and Belgian yeast spice. Dry, bitter finish.
Steel + Oak Kaffee Coffee Blonde 5.1% 650ml (New Westminster)
Pours a deep sunshine yellow colour. Robust nutty coffee notes on the nose. Similar on the palate with delicious coffee notes backed by a light malty backbone. Great coffee flavour, very drinkable.
Townsite Biere d’Hiver 650ml 7.5% (Powell River)
Pours a dark chocolate colour. Notes of molasses, dark chocolate, saison spice and fruit on the nose. On the palate it’s like a cross between a porter and a saison, with boozy notes of bubblegum, smoke and raisins. Quite a bitter finish to this very complex and interesting beer.
Oskar Blues Hotbox Coffee Porter 6.5% 6pk cans (Colorado)
Pours a deep dark chocolate brown colour. Boozy notes of chocolate and fruit on the nose. Complex notes of smoke, chocolate, coffee and dark fruit on the palate.
Oskar Blues G’Knight Imperial Red Ale 8.7% 4pk cans (Colorado)
Pours a deep chestnut colour. Rich, boozy caramel and floral fruit notes on the nose. Round, malty and balanced on the palate with sweet caramel and boozy fruit notes. Balanced bitterness.
Anarchy Sublime Chaos Breakfast Stout 7% 330ml (England)
Pours a deep dark chocolate brown colour. Huge aromas of rich chocolate and coffee on the nose. Sweet and creamy up front with robust dark chocolate and coffee notes. Hearty!
Deschutes Sage Fight Imperial IPA 8% 6pks (Oregon)
Pours a burnt orange colour. Sweet herbal notes of sage and juniper on the nose with a hint of citrus and booze. Gin-like sage/juniper flavours balanced floral/citrusy hop notes and a good bit of sweetness on the palate. Bitter finish.
Strange Fellows Krampus Abbey Dubbel 8.5% 650ml (Vancouver)
Pours a chestnut/burnt-orange colour. Fruity phenols on the nose with hints of root beer spice and grainy malt. Sweet on the palate with root beer spice and dried fruit flavours.
Strange Fellows Boris Russian Imperial Stout 9.5% 650ml (Vancouver)
Pours a dark black/brown colour. Complex notes of grainy dark malt, smoke and dark chocolate on the nose. Sweet with nice smoke note in the background; dark chocolate and dark fruit notes with bitter finish.
Coal Harbour Oaked Doppelbock 8.5% 650ml (Vancouver)
Pours a deep dark brown colour. Boozy caramel and earthy/nutty wood notes on the nose. Sweet, malty and hearty with nutty/oaky notes and a hit of booze.
Category 12 Anomaly Barrel Aged Belgian Strong Dark Ale 8.7% 650ml (Saanich)
Pours a dark chestnut brown colour. Huge boozy aromas of bourbon, caramel and chocolate. Boozy bourbon notes on the palate with hints of vanilla and complex, fruity Belgian yeast spice notes.
Fuggles & Warlock Dark Side Russian Imperial Stout 9.9% 650ml (Richmond)
Pours a dark chocolate brown colour. Boozy, creamy and fruity on the nose. Big fruitiness on the palate, as well with boozy sweetness, grainy dark malts and a spicy, bitter finish.
Salt Spring Creme Brûlée Vanilla Stout 8% 650ml (Salt Spring Island)
Pours a deep, rich brown/black colour. Lip-smacking notes of vanilla and wet cake ingredients on the nose. On the palate tit’s equally delicious with notes of bittersweet chocolate chips, vanilla and marshmallows. Very satisfying dessert beer.
Main St. Stag & Pheasant Imperial Stout 9% 650ml (Vancouver)
Pours an infinite blackness. On the nose notes of bright fruit, dark chocolate and smoke. Very smooth and creamy on the palate with notes of sweet black coffee and fruit with a dry finish. Hides the ABV well. Very drinkable
Dunham Russian Imperial Stout 9.9% 330ml (Quebec)
Pours a dark chocolate brown colour. Big aromas of boozy chocolate on the nose. Savoury umami notes on the palate with a boozy sweetness and dark chocolate and dark fruit notes.
