As you may know, the building we moved into last March was previously the RBC bank that had been a part of Cook St. Village for decades. Since every bank has a vault, and they’re kind of hard to remove, when we moved in, the vault came with the building.
So, what else to do with it, but put our finest wines in there for “safekeeping.” The Vault is where we keep our “Wines of Stature”—prices ranging from $50+ to $1200—and we have some incredible bottles in there, such as nine different vintages of Chateau de Beaucastel Chateuneuf du Pape, going back to 1998!
Until this point, we had kept it low-key, as we organized our inventory and set the vault up to hold vino, not cash. We’re now ready to offer a detailed look at what we have, broken down into both traditional categories (France – Cotes du Rhone, Bordeaux and Burgundy) as well as some fun ones of our own making (“Famous Italians,” “California Dreaming,” “Australian Crackers” and more!).
