Every Monday we’ll be posting tasting notes on the latest craft beer arrivals. Check out what’s new!
Russell White Rabbit Hoppy Hefeweizen 650 ml 6%
Pours a classic hazy hefe orangish-yellow colour. Interesting notes of pine, baking spice and banana on the nose. The taste is unexpectedly delicious, with a mix of typical German hefeweizen flavours like clove and banana mingling with hoppy tropical fruit, citrus and pine notes. Very assertive bitter finish. A cool hybrid of styles, like a Hefeweizen IPA.
Burnside Spring Rye 650 ml 5.5%
Pours a deep, rich yellow colour. Not a lot of character on the nose. Mostly it’s just earthy and herbaceous smelling. Plenty of complexity on the palate, with lots of rich grainy/spicy rye notes and floral hop flavours. Strong bitter finish. Excellent creamy mouthfeel.
New Belgium RyePA IPA 650 ml 7.5%
Pours a rich coppery orange colour. Big notes of orange, caramel, toffee and fruit on the nose. Similar complexity on the palate as well, with plenty of rye spiciness, sweet malt and a swack of fruity hops. The finish is assertively bitter. Creamy mouthfeel.
