We love our mainstays, the reliable brews you can always count on. The No-Brainer’s of the beer world if you will. However, there’s undeniably something uniquely exciting about the new. The latent promise of potential energy, of a cerebral vortex ready to be released at the pull of a tab. Packed full of fresh releases, our newest rendition of Beermail helps get you one step closer to this promise and to that higher state of being.
Situated on either sides of the mighty Trans-Canada highway, Studio Brewing and Dageraad‘s Proximate Solitudes is a celebration. A dry-hopped multigrain pale ale brewed to honor the coming opening of Studio, it offers a delicate mix of funk and hops packaged in a serenely artistic way.
Hypha Project has been stunning us since breaking into the scene. With only a few releases under their belt they’ve made their intentions clear, and we can’t wait to see what comes next. Inceptional is a juicy hazy IPA, brewed with Vic Secret + Mosaic hops.
Maybe you’ve heard a whisper or two around, let’s just put them to rest. House of Funk has landed with some truly decadent indulgences. Debauchery is a very-limited Bourbon-barrel aged Imperial Milk Stout… mischief managed, or not.
From one of our perennial favorites Luppolo, we’re more than elated to bring you Precursor. A special edition Belgian-style Dubbel loaded with notes of stewed fruit, dates, figs, and candi sugar. Look for it’s barrel-aged cousin Evoluta down the line! Their Wild Saison w/ Pear is packed full of fresh pears from the Similkameen Valley. With a beautiful mélange of citrus, funk, and pears over an effervescent and bright base, it’s essentially spring in a can.
Backcountry Brewing are back at it again. With esoteric names and zany flavors, we just can’t get enough. Literally. Pulp Can Move Baby! is an orange and amaretto sour, with big citrus notes and a touch of sweetness. You Look Like You Live With Your Mother is a hazy IPA brewed with copious quantities of Mosaic and Eldorado hops.
Weaving ingredients into magic is no small feat, and yet Beere Brewing from North Van seems to do it effortlessly. Dream Sequence is their brand-new West Coast-ish IPA. In their words, “This is that crispy good dank stuff” and we’re more than prepared to take their word for it. Even Cowgirls Get the Bluebs is jammed full of blueberries, with a hint of lemon and dry-hops. Juicy, not too sour, and immensely refreshing!
One thing we can always get behind is a well-crafted lager. Something that’s clean and easy-drinking but still pleases the higher senses. Field House brings thing back to basics with a nod to brewing history. Vienna Especial Lager harkens back to the revival of this nuanced style with grace. Crush or consider.
Kicking off the transition to warmer days, Ile Sauvage‘s new Pamplemousse Grapefruit Gose is leading the pack in a refreshingly tart and citrusy way.
Rounding off the bunch, Ravens brings an ode to the Trappist tradition with Three Monks. A Belgian Tripel ringing in at 8.7%, it’s not messing around.
