Coming at you live with wine recommendations fit for the long weekend and the rain-shine patio season!
Below is a few tidbits of information on these 6 wines available for FREE local delivery:
3 white, 1 rosé and 2 reds – from left to right:
La Galine Rosé – Imported by Liberty Wine Merchants in Vancouver, this is 100% Cinsault, a widely grown varietal in the Langeudoc-Roussillon region of France. A thicker skinned grape that tends to offer weightier flavours and deeper colour – this Rosé has a hint of residual sweetness while maintaining a dry crunch.
Pyrène Cuvée Marine – Imported by our friends at Crush Imports, who work with lots of great value priced producers from Europe. This white blend is Colombard forward with Sauv Blanc & Gros Manseng, offering a pronounced orange blossom, perfumed note and very bright, floral palate. Dry & fun.
Pennautier Viognier – Viognier from Southern France is a classic. It’s a medium bodied white wine with big stonefruit flavours and loads of texture. Certainly a drink-on-it’s-own option, but a hint of apricot sweetness can cut through spicy foods if need be.
Joya Branco Vinho Leve – Vinho Leve, meaning “Light Wine” in Portugal, this wine is ideal for Vinho Verde drinkers. Lower alcohol at 9.5% with a bit of effervescence making it perfect for the patio.
Louis Max Pinot Noir – Concentrated & fragrant while light and easy drinking. An enjoyably easy light red that we’ve carried at the shop for a number of years.
L’Orangeraie Syrah/Viognier – A Southern France blend of 90% Syrah grapes with 10% Viognier white grapes to brighten the acidity. This wine is a crowd pleaser, as proven at Manager David’s wedding. This is a no-brainer pick.
One of each of these 6 wines is $113.51 + tax & dep. for a total of $130.45.
