Kelsey Rufiange is the winemaker at Echo Bay in Okanagan Falls, which is owned and operated by her and family. Else Wines is her side project, where she sources fruit from the surrounding area as well as from their estate, creating fun, fresh, low intervention natural wines.
Muscat Piquette – A piquette made from Moscato Giallo. Re-hydrated in ferment by ambient yeast in stainless steel. Grapes farmed by Stephen Hacking using organic methods.
Giallo – A pet-nat of Moscato Giallo. Whole bunch pressed & fermented by ambient yeast in stainless steel. If reductive upon opening, give it a few good swirls to dissipate
Gew – A hazy skin contact gewürtztraminer. This spent 13 days on skins and was aged in stainless steel on lees. Grapes farmed organically in Penticton.
Muscat on Skins – A skin contact Moscato Giallo. This spent 12 – 13 days on skins & fermented by ambient yeast, aged in stainless steel.
Pinot Gris – This orange wine spent 34 days on skins, fermented by ambient yeast in stainless steel, then aged in neutral oak puncheon. Grapes farmed in West Penticton.
Malbec – 10 day whole bunch ferment with ambient yeast. Aged in oak barriques for 16 months. Grapes farmed using biodynamic methods in Okanagan Falls.
