Product Spotlight: Brouwerij De Ranke

Rain City Brands has once again imported another great brand to BC and we were able to grab a selection of three of their offerings. Brouwerij De Ranke is a Belgian brewery that, according to Rain City head honcho Adam Henderson, “capture the spirit of all the small North American upstarts that you’re familiar with, except that they’ve been at it for 15 years. And of course, they are also
Belgian.”

Here’s what we have from De Ranke, along with a brief description from the brewery (except for the saison):

Bitter XX—”a blond, bitter ale…made with pale pilsner malt and loads of Brewers Gold and Hallertau hop flowers.”

Noir de Dottignies—”our heaviest ale…with a very rich taste, coming from the six different kinds of malt we use. These malts also give it that rich, dark, nearly black colour.”

Saison de Dottignies—”a seasonal, on the lighter side of the saison spectrum, but well hopped.” (description courtesy of Rain City)
